How to sell on bookstore?

Selling on BookStore.co.zw is simple and straightforward and also FREE, To get started with selling on our platform you simply need to fill out the form attached on this page: Here or https://www.bookstore.co.zw/submit-book/. If your submission is approved we will email you back with feedback and a link to your published book that is ready to rack in sales.

What are the requirements?

Before your book is approved it goes through our manual checking process which usually takes 1-12 hours and the requirements are as follows:

  • Must be in PDF format, other formats will be disregarded.
  • Must be written in font 12px and above and in a readable font.
  • The cover image must be in the required size of 1200px X 1800, see sample: IMG.jpg
  • Must be the author of the book or have distribution rights, i.e Publishers and Bookshops.
  • Valid Government Issued ID/Passport, Valid Proof of Residence, and Banking Information.

How to become a vendor?

What is a Vendor at Bookstore.co.zw?

A vendor is a Publisher or a Physical Bookshop who would like to run their own sub-store on Bookstore.co.zw. This means you will have access to the Vendor Dashboard and will be able to add new books from your vendor account. You will also get email updates on every sale, and see your sales forecast on the Dashboard. Manage Products Create/Edit/Delete at any given time.

Becoming a vendor?

To become a vendor you need to register/apply here: REGISTER or https://www.bookstore.co.zw/vendor-reg/. Make sure you submit the correct contact details because we will those details to get in touch with you. Check your email 24 hours from submission, can’t find the email? Check your spam box as well. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, you can send us a message on SKYPE.

As of 8-Jan-2023, The Vendor Program is still available only by invitation. Check back at a later to see if this has been changed!

How & when do I get paid?

For Independent Authors:

  • Local (ZWL) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your (Bank Account) every Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm.
  • International (USD) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your PayPal account on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 12 pm.
  • WIRE TRANSFER: (Minimum $50) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your Nostro Account whenever you reach the minimum.

For Publishers and Bookshops:

  • Local (ZWL) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your (Bank Account) every Monday from 8 am to 12 pm.
  • International (USD) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your PayPal account every day from 8 am to 12 pm.
  • WIRE TRANSFER: (Minimum $100) Payouts/Withdrawals are settled to your Nostro Account whenever you reach the minimum.

How to reach more people?

Increasing your audience is crucial for increasing your sales and revenue. In order to connect readers and writers from various regions, Bookstore.co.zw is frequently advertised on advertising platforms. However, even with this, not everyone will be able to sell on the platform, therefore we also encourage our writers to engage in self-promotion. Put your bookstore links in the public domain. Encourage your loved ones to purchase your book(s). Run campaigns on Twitter Ads, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads if you can. Share on your social media pages and in your groups as well.
